The Bridge offers expert counsel and therapy for tough issues such as:
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Grief
  • Coping with divorce
  • Defiance
  • Uncontrollable anger
  • Self-destructive behaviors

Expert parenting guidance

Not all problems are severe. Many parents who come to the Bridge for counseling seek professional guidance on how to deal with common behavioral challenges such as defiance or coping with divorce.

Bridge Therapy Team
Dr. Osman Qureshi is the Medical Director for the Bridge Family Center's Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic for Children. Dr. Qureshi is a Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and conducts medication evaluations and follow-ups for Bridge therapy clients.

The Bridge offers a talented multi-disciplinary team of professionals trained in the areas of Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, and Social Work. Bridge staff is committed to their continuing gtowth as professionals. This commitment is manifiested in the high quality of care offered to young people and families.


The Bridge Counseling Center
The Bridge is licensed as an Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic for Children by the Connecticut Department of Children and Families. This license requires adherence to high standards of excellence.

Payment options
As a designated OPCC, the Bridge can accept health insurance payments for counseling. As a nonprofit, the Bridge in turn uses the revenue from these insurance payments to help offset the cost of providing services to the uninsured.

If your insurance does not cover our counseling, we will adjust your fee to a level you can afford. The Bridge is here to help. You can always "afford" our counseling. No one is turned away.

The Bridge currently accepts many insurance plans including Anthem, Aetna, United Behavioral Health, Oxford Blue, Connecticare, Cigna, Value Options, and Medicaid.

Scheduling an appointment
Weekday and evening appointments are available. To become a Bridge therpay client, the first step is to call 860.521.8035 and do an intake. You will then be contacted by an available therapist to schedule an appointment.

Opened in 2011, Bridge East, the Bridge Counseling Center in Rockville, offers therapy for children and families east of the Connecticut River.

Payment options

Bridge East currently accepts HUSKY, Anthem and Aetna insurance.
