Support the Bridge at Your Workplace

The Bridge is affiliated with America's Best Local Charities, ABLC, for the Fall campaign year. Our ABLC affiliation includes participation in the Connecticut State Employees' Campaign (agency code # 7824) as well as many corporations and other workplaces. You can find us in your campaign giving directory under the Bridge Family Center.

If your company participates in the United Way Community Campaign, please designate the Bridge Family Center (agency code # 5237) on your donor pledge form.

Many companies have matching gifts programs, making your contribution go even farther. At many companies you can apply directly online for a matching gift. Some employers use paper forms. Please ask your human resources department. We will verify your donation and notify you when we have received the matching gift.

Contact the Bridge at 860.521.8035 for more information on setting up your workplace campaign.

Event Support and Sponsorship

The Bridge hosts a number of community events during the course of the year and welcomes sponsorships and donations of goods, as well as volunteer assistance. For more information about any of these events, call Doreen Tarascio at 860.521.8035.

The Children's Charity Ball

The Children's Charity Ball is held in January each year to raise funds to provide services for the children and families of our community. The Bridge welcomes donations to the Children's Charity Ball on many levels. You can become an event sponsor (sponsorships range from a $150 business-card-sized ad in the program book to a major event sponsor up to the Presenting Sponsor level of $20,000). Another way to support the ball is by donating an item to the live and silent auctions that will feature an outstanding array of unique and creative items. The event also requires an energized committee of volunteers who contribute their time and talents in many ways from soliciting sponsorships, to making centerpieces, to packaging and arranging auction items, to preparing mailings.

Breakfast on the Bridge

The annual September breakfast for school and human service professionals and other community leaders from West Hartford and the surrounding region is an opportunity for individuals who work with young people and families to network and share services. We welcome the donation of fruit, pastries, bagels, and coffee.
